  • The ceramics of the Back to Black collection are fashioned from finely chamotte black sandstone, left as is on the outside, reminiscent of the most raw and wild aspect of the earth. This contrasts with the brilliantly colored interior obtained through a complex process that involves various steps from engobe to enamel, necessary due to the behavior of this particular sandstone that works like a black hole that sucks in and erases all the colors that affect it.
