The studio of Genziana Ceramics offers a ceramic firing service in Leiden for those who would like to model clay at home while benefiting from the quality and safety of professional kiln firing in the studio.

For technical and safety reasons, this service is reserved exclusively for pieces made with clays purchased from the studio.

The service includes:
• Clay body of your choice in the quantity suitable for your project (from 1 to 10 kg)
• First firing (bisque) at 930°C
• Glazing with studio glazes, chosen when the pieces are delivered
• Second firing at 1230°C
 
In this way, even when working from home, each object follows a controlled technical process, designed to ensure strength, durability and a high-quality aesthetic result.
This approach combines creative freedom and technical rigour, because the poetry of form always needs the science of fire.

Among the clay bodies available in the studio you can choose from:
light white clay
red clay
grey clay
black clay
or continue working with the cream-white clay included in the Starter Kit, designed for those who would like to work at home and then bring their pieces to the studio for firing.
 
You model your pieces at home, at your own pace, and when they are ready you can bring them, by appointment, to my ceramic studio in Leiden for firing and glazing.
